Symbols Of Uttara Bhadrapada Nakshatra
Both Ashlesha & UBP (Uttara Bhadra Pada) has serpent or nagas story connection. Lord Vishnu is always protected by Shesha naga. In his Lord Ram avatar, Vishnu was protected by Ashlesha moon Lord Lakshman.
The ruling deity of UBP is ‘Ahirbudhnya’ is one who, in the form of an ‘ahi’ or serpent, is the ‘budhna’ or foundation of the world. According to the stories, he forms the base on which the universe (Vishnu) is supported. Just like how he sleeps on Sheshanag.
Just like it's previous paired Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra deity Aja Ekapada, Ahirbudhnya is also a form of Rudra. They are considered as attendants of Shiva in later mythology.
The Rig Veda and the Krishna Yajur Veda makes the Rudras the gods of the middle world, situated between earth and heaven i.e. the atmosphere. So it makes sense when it is said that Ahir Buddha is an atmospheric serpent.
Ahirbudhnya lives in the depth of the cosmic ocean. Lakshami the consort goddess of Vishnu, the daughter of the cosmic sea god since she emerged from ocean during the Samudra Manthan or churning of sea.
Uttara Bhadra Pada nakshatra is the birth nakshatra of goddess Lakshami.
Moon in UBP females have wide set eyes and doll face as Venus is considered exalted in Pisces. Just like Ashlesha, UBP also has connection with Kundalini energy and it reaching its pinnacle here. Third eye 👁️ is associated with Pisces. As this sign is associated with both gurus Shukracharya & Brihaspati, wisdom is seen in form of third eye.
The romantic and artistic planet Venus gets exalted in this sign as it is the stage of non-duality. A true artist sees beauty beyond duality. Everything is beautiful in this universe as it is "Shri-sti" or finest creation. Lakshmi is known as "Shri" or "Shree" which means best.
UBP women prefer dreamy and fantasy like aesthetics. I have noticed that many of them love to enhance their eyes with pastel eye shadows which works well with their wide set eyes.
Shripada or Goddess Lakshmi's footprints is also considered quite auspicious and frequently used in vedic rituals. This is also associated with UBP as it lies in Pisces the natural 12th house sign ruling over feet.
